    Alty today

Well that was a game of two halves.

First half, we were woeful - almost as bad as when we played under Todd - didn't seem to have any idea as to how to play as a team.

Second half was much better - particularly after the subs came on - much more assured at the back and more joined up going forwards - as usual we seemed to play better into the wind, rather than playing with it.

    Almost simultaneously.

    Great minds, Doctor!
Pitying people who need to drink alcohol to have a good time since 4th June 2017.

Can any great mind account for Sam Avery’s first half absence ? Perhaps owing to the number of games being played early season?

Dr Bob spot on - obviously the wind played a huge factor in the game but we will play better than that and lose. Not quite sure what role Jake Jackson is performing as he barely had a touch. The Bristol City lad Harper brilliant and deserved MOM.
    A good home point imo.

Game of two halves. Awful first half, worst I've seen under Cook. Should have been a few down. Joe P needs some finishing training, he should have 3 goals already this season. Not sure about Jake either, he didn't look overly interested today. Considering he's going to be suspended for three games I expected more tbh.

Harper again impressive, Josh Thomas was outstanding as was Joe Hanks, great free kick. Introduction of Kotwica improved things too, he looked like the Zach of old.

Not one to remember but a good point. Disappointing crowd however.

Just over 300 hardy souls today ,watched a game spoilt by a gale force wind.
We looked all over the place first half but could still have scored a brace.it seems that Hanksy takes all the free kicks and corners making it a bit predictable imo.
Not all doom and gloom, excellent performances from Josh Thomas, Vince Harper and when he came on Zac. Our keeper looks steady , Marlon put a great shift in.
Well taken free kick by Hanksy who again did well.
    Kiddy another story..

Hard fought draw yesterday. We could have been dead and buried by half time (despite having the wind), but battled back well and just about deserved a point I thought.

Positives - Vinnie was excellent, and looks like he could play further up if we can cover left back. Josh T and Spence were solid. Zack J had a great game too. Smith looked good at right back when he came on. Great free kick by Hanksy too. 4-4-2 worked well when we switched it up.

Less positive - Knowles fortunate not to get himself sent off after consistently elbowing and kicking people whilst already booked. 4-3-3 leaves Marlon isolated and JJ can't play on the wing. Joe P's finishing after he missed a couple of decent chances. Not much cover at centre half - Ioan tried hard but was caught out several times.

A good point against a decent team.

After yesterday's matches we drop down to fourteenth on GD - we're the only team on four points with a negative GD - Hereford are thirteenth with a GD of zero. A GD of plus three would see us in eighth.

The good news is that the two teams in the drop zone have yet to acquire any points - Blyth Spartans and Bradford PA

Blyth do have a game in hand though and its a shame we haven't played BPA already given how bad they are at the moment.
