One of my City heroes, massive goal v Cardiff and big part of our 1989 Championship season. Always remember one of our many successful tactics that year - John Shaw goal kick unerringly accurate pass to Steve Talboys standing next to half way flag on touchline, headed back inside to our offensive players. Very approachable off the pitch as well.

I only looked Sticksy up the other day to see what he was doing, seemed to have a very successful career in sports insurance.

    RIP good guy.

Really sad to hear. No age. One of my favourite players. Anyone know what happened?

If I can get enough interest Id like to get a flag made. We use the legend to much these days but he truly was one when I was a youngster
