Thread: Aberystwyth

    Aberystwyth

Watched my first PSF last night and the side looked an improvement on last year Marlon Jackson looked a real handful up front, the trialist at LB Keiren Smith looked at home there and overall there was a good balance even when Joe P came on at RB

    No Jennison last night?

The subs came on in the second half and did not look out of place at the back replacing Sam and Spencer. Aberystwyth came and really put it about so it was a good run out.

Board can we please order that glorious weather at Evesham for the rest of the season please!!

Controversial but I love the new kit,

Thought Joey P looked like a different player to last season. You forget how bloody quick he is sometimes!

Had 2 or 3 chalked off for offside as well.

    Best performance to date.

Funny that Dave, just sent a PM to Tim re stats and commented on Joey. I thought he was electric last night. Real pace, just needs that final flourish. Great block early on from our new keeper, he really looks the business. Hard to believe his age. All in all enjoyed the game.

Echo all these positive thoughts. Bremner's goal was a particularly emphatic short range strike when it would have been easy to sky over. Joe Hanks was a beacon of excellence in the first half when Aber were extremely competitive. Shout out too for Jake Jackson who generally got the better of a very physical centre half. Joe P started the 2nd half at right wing back but soon switched to the left after Zak took a knock. As others have said, his pace was too much for them.
Pitch played well..has obviously been rolled and parts relaid. Long may that continue. All in all a very decent game which for the first 60 minutes or so was a proper contest.

Pitch now in the care of a consultancy company who appear to have done wonders on it during the close season. Great work and cooperation from Evesham.

Last 2 home games have been 2 wins scoring 7 goals, fortress?
Are any of the new names like Bremner on trial or have they been signed on?
