Still nothing - could somebody just copy and paste it on here please. That will be quicker than waiting for the official club smoke signals to come through.

    Gloucester City News - May
Despite there being no football on the pitch, business continues for those involved in off the field developments. You will by now have seen our Kit Deal and Sponsorship announcement which went out two weeks ago, which are a combination of developments that have been worked on in the background for sometime now. This is just the first of many long term commercial partnerships the club is working on in order to finally bring forecasting and forward planning to the commercial side of the club rather than season-by-season survival.

It also highlights the hard work put in by all those involved as the Club is now re-engaging with the City and the perception of Gloucester City is changing as big businesses are starting to take notice.

Whilst this update will be short, hopefully you shall see encouraging news with regards to player retention, the mast and the long mooted "rebranded" badge (yes, City is staying yellow!).

With that we shall leave you to read on and hope that you enjoy the World Cup as we all look forward to beginning pre-season.

    Meadow Park and the Mast

When working with multiple utilities companies, things are never easy, and through no fault of our own there have been significant delays. However, the new electricity supply has now been installed for one of the mobile network providers (currently on the new mast), and details are being finalised for the remaining provider’s electricity supply and the disconnection of the old mast, which will pave the way for dismantlement, dates to be confirmed ASAP (once we have these dates we will inform you straight away via social media and the Website).

We have a meeting tomorrow with the Gloucestershire FA which will be our second meeting in our pre-application process for the Football Stadium Improvement Fund and with drawings for the new scaled down Grade B plans almost finalised, we are starting to meet with companies tendering for parts of the stadium build such as the provision of stands (the T-End), pitch barriers and turnstiles etc.

These plans will be released to you upon completion.

    Player Retention
As you have seen from our press release yesterday, we are pleased to announce that following discussions with Marc Richards the following players are being retained for next season:

    Andrew Hannah
    Samuel Avery
    Matt Williams
    Jamie Edge
    Joe Hanks
    Spencer Hamilton
    Chris Knowles
    Joe Parker
    Isaac Kelly
    Noah Smerdon
    Will Tunnicliff
    Tom Webb
    Will Morford

With a few gaps still to fill in the squad and a few more players to talk to Marc Richards had this to say,

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to retain the majority of the lads from last season. The togetherness that this squad has was highlighted by their form in the second half of the season. Yes, there are a few notable omissions from the list but that doesn’t mean to say the possibility for those players to be with us next season is gone.

We are a club that is proud to bring players on and give them a platform and professional coaching support to further their footballing careers and any departure should not be seen as a negative but as an opportunity for younger players to make the step up or for someone new to come in and showcase their talents. There are a few players that we’re looking at but it’s vital that not only do they have the talent but also the character and ethos required to play for Gloucester City.”

    Pre Season Fixtures
With all fixtures now confirmed, we can now formally announce the following fixtures which will make up the Pre-Season for 2018/2019.

    Not a Rebrand...More of a Gloucester City 2.0
Finally we're pleased to be able to share with you the new badge and a mock up of the kit for next season.

Last season, after talking with lots of supporters and much debate within the management board, it was decided that in the best interest of the Club, a complete over haul of the Club's identity was not what was needed, however it was agreed it did need a refresh.

The decision was taken to remove the black stripe running through the badge, accentuating the Tiger's head and to acknowledgement of the heritage of the Club, we've incorporated the year of our formation. The updated badge now looks cleaner and more modern. From a commercial stand point this new badge is also more translatable allowing us to put it on new lines of Club merchandise which we currently have in development in order to raise more revenue for the playing budget.

On the back of our partnership with X-Blades, We're also proud to be able to now share the mock ups of the Home Shirt for next season and we will in due course also share the Away shirt however we are currently in talks with another sponsor who will potentially be sponsoring our shirts on our travels.

Thanks - that's much appreciated. I see the website still isn't showing anything. Why bother tweeting a timescale of 24 hours if you aren't going to follow it up.??

My thoughts on the new strip...……. AWFUL ! Three new strips in the last 3 years. This design looks like training kit.

My partial view is that we might be strong candidates to benefit from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund as we need 100% improvement
