Gerry Horlick. Lanky streaky striker, could never shoot straight, but he absolutely threw himself full-length at every header! Hence the horizontal tag. In the last season at Longlevens he absolutely scored a bagful. That was the season we still had Rod Thomas, the young tall full-back from Churchdown, whom we sold to Swindon Town and he went on to play for Wales.

Wonderful programme notes, Kevin. All our yesterdays feel for me. Remember Andy so well. Always rushing at Horton Road, helping in every way he could. Knew him even better at MP. A lovely man who loved his club

Wait till you see me programme column. Rob Coldray, Gerry Horlick and George Northcott all get a mention.
Take a wander up Horton rd where we stood and you will be in Coldray close.
