    Ilkeston

Seven years after Ilkeston Town were wound up, the phoenix club have suffered the same fate.

The club announced on Twitter this morning that a takeover of club had been agreed and within hours they've been would up over a debt of 14k

Makes you realise what an amazing job people do at City behind the scenes and we are in a higher league and don't even have a home ground.

Seems an age since I first went there to see the tough side that Keith Alexander had built. In fact it was an age . . .

Sad news, was a decent day out in the first conf north year. Real shame that such a small amount has led to them being wound up

Reamember the days of playing them in the Southern League. Always a good day out and a good bunch of fans as well.

One the the first times they played at MP they had Daley Thompson playing for them...safe to say he was a better athlete than he was a footballer.

In fairness he'd have had to play like Ronaldo if he was to be a better footballer than he was an athlete
