    Citizen and Echo

"Gloucestershire Media, the publisher of Gloucestershire Live, the Gloucester Citizen and the Gloucestershire Echo, has today announced a new era for its portfolio. The company has revealed a plan to move both the Echo and Citizen from daily to weekly frequency from October 12".

    Been coming for a while.........

Ooh, that'll mean I don't buy it once a week rather than 6 times!

Feck em. I still insist that anyone posting a link to Glos Live should be soundly thrashed with stinging nettles

Heard this is down to the papers not being profitable any more. Hard to believe considering the amount of adverts they have on their websites.

With the internet no one reads papers these days do they?
Also what do we in Gloucester care? it ceased being a Gloucester paper when it moved to Cheltenham - so good riddance and lets not keep banging on about the rag

People used to say that it could be free because the classified ad's used to cover the costs.

Such a shame really because it's Gloucester's permanent record, it's just a shame that it's been allowed to pick and choose what they want to cover rather than do it properly. What will they have to look back on in 100 years time.

Sadly most of the news is days old, plagued by Glawster rugby and adverts and car sales taking up 80% of the print.
    End of an era.
