How strange, I was talking with Sawyer Senior yesterday and im sure he mentioned that we might get Shortwood.

And I see that whoever wins out of Ciren/Cinderford will play Clevedon.

Can we not switch to an away game?

Shortwood may not mind!

Presumably the match will be played on Sunday 30th September if using the New Lawn. Forest Green play Cambridge United at home on the Saturday. It could be advantageous as more local football fans can watch or play for their team on the Saturday then pop up to the game on the Sunday.

Nah, we'll finally win a home game.

Jack Pitcher v's Super Will.... ;)

I actually dreamt that we would draw Shortwood last night, but then again I also dreamt that Liv Tyler was sucking my toes while I poured freshly heated earwax over her eyebrows. There's no easy games at international level, but surely this represents a really good chance for us to progress.

Thats a fair draw, could've been worse

Truro City v Bath City - Tie of the Round anyone!?

I think it's a fantastic draw.

No disrespect to Shortwood and their win at Tiverton on Saturday but Tivvy are on a downward spiral and are only a SLP team by name. We'll know everything we need to know about Shortwood too. Keep Hosky quiet up front and keep an eye on James Singh and we'll win.

Plus we played them a couple of months ago and they weren't any threat.

Good draw!

Glad it's not away. Their facilities can't cope with our fans in friendlies, let alone a Cup match.

I hope they sort out the date. Sunday would be great I reckon.

We'll have to keep an eye on Singh. He's lightning and our defence won't be able to keep up easily. Very lightweight though.

Yeah you dont want them away its a pretty crap road getting up to there ground, really hilly and narrow.
They beat us 2-1 in the round previous to them beating Tiverton and gotta say they were nothing special its just we were crap.
Weve been a bit like you this season, one good win and good performance and follow it up with a crap result and crap performance.
Last 6 games we have won, lost, won, lost, won ,lost, inconsistent or what!!!

i think he sumed it up when he was chating after the game when he said he hasen't played at home yet!

Great draw tho!

This could be a banana skin for us? although on paper we should progress and earn another £3750 which would be a great help.

a great FA Cup tie! watch out for jamie singh has scored goals for fun this season at shortwood and is set to have a run out in our reserves very soon apparently. although surely city have the upper hand after the pre season it will be a very close contest im sure this time round.

A good draw indeed, yes I know we shouldn't get too confident given our past history in the Fa Cup but if City can play like they did on saturday we'll be ok

Surely the groundsman will have something to say re two days consecutive pounding of the turf !
I am hoping for Monday or tuesday night.....

No sweat if we play as well as Saturday ! what a game.......

I fancy Chelters in the next few rounds. As Adie Tandy said, at Whaddon Road and give them a 'thrashing'........ Think of the gate receipts for that one !

aren't Shortwood Rivals with FGR  if so we might see alot of FGR fans down at the new lawn for our game and hope Pitcher can score somemore goals for us to win the £3,750 :D

you did play on it the day after our match against torquay united although you'll have to wait on our groundsmans opinion on that - it is the best playing surface in the blue square premier you know and our groundsman got the highest award possible for our league :D

I dont realy think we are now, the gap is far to big now, FTR I like Shortwood they have a nice set up and it has always been a friendly place to go, even with my beloved FGR shirt on, I used run a skitles team there caled rovers rejects :)

Good draw - this is a winable game but I am sure Tim wont let the players get complacent.

Would be great to get our first home win of the season in the FA Cup :)

Shandy, I'm sure we did these last season or was it the one before? hold on I'll just ask my "special" friend, Min Singh.

A good team who beat Swindon S pre season, which is more than we did, and with Hosky and Steads will be a stern test. A game to look forward too.
