Terrible news to be honest, although the BBC isn't perfect ITV should never have been trusted with the FA Cup rights, anyone remember "The Premiership" and their woeful coverage of other major sports (F1 a prime example)
Sentanta getting hold of premier league games is even worse, no doubt there will be more silly kick off times and you'll have to pay again. Our household already pays £42 a month to Rupert Murdoch and they have the cheek to ask for extra to watch some games. This pay per view thing should have been knocked on the head when they started doing boxing matches in the early 1990's but sadly its grown and is now viewed as the norm.

Absolutely fantastic news, well done ITV and Michael Grade, football back in its rightful place. Let's hope ITV coverage is as good as it was last time around

Not good news at all in my opinion. I hate ITV coverage of football, they ruined Match of the Day when it was changed hands, but thankfully it was given back to the BBC. The FA Cup/England matches have always been symbolic to the BBC, it is a great shame to see them moved to ITV, they'll just ruin the coverage. I also dislike the way ITV cover the Champions League, Sky Sports cover it much much better in my opinion.

Has anybody subscribed to Setanta out of interest? I was thinking about asking the parents to get it as I like the Old Firm derbies and other Scottish Games.

I don't know what it's like but for some reason it's £10.99 a month through freeview but £15 through Sky!

Elaborate then Bob, share the knowledge (I have Freeview!)
As for the ITV deal, the only good thing that could possibly come out of it is that the FA will have more money so they should be able to up the prize money for the qualifiers like Adam Crozier did for one season a few years back.
Ooh, look at that pig flying past my window!
