What Ground ? Where ?
It's all quiet on this subject, I think most people will want to see something Concrete (no not the ground) being announced before starting to get excited and starting fundraising for 'real'.

Lady Gadiver (?)
Godiva, the latinised version of the Anglo-Saxon Godgifu, meaning gift of God, appropriately.
A Cup run fund is a novel idea though - Put me down for 2 Godivas if we get through.

Could I suggest you contact King's Lynn and ask them if it is okay to do bucket collections at our 1st home game against you? I am sure you would get a few quid.

Hi stranger.
Was passing the ground this morning,so called in to see how things were.
Well! the grass is growing swimmingly,I mean strongly and looking very green. Not up to The NEW Lawn;Yet, but give it time.
Shame to build WAREHOUSES OR a new TESCO'S on it!

Was down there yesterday, few white lines and an airfreshener, who knows.

Try Picasa 2 from Google, and it's free!
You do not have to put up with poster sized prints then.

Shame to build WAREHOUSES OR a new TESCO'S on it!I had a look down there too... very nostalgic and full of the ghosts of 'Oskies past. Needs a couple of sheep (matron!) on the grass like they do at Kingsholm.. I really think we will have to go a long way to beat MP,especially when you see what else is available in the City within walking distance..
About the new Supermarkets and Warehouses - I noticed if you go down the road to the tip , that the ground in front of SAP Presswelds has all been nicely levelled right up to the back of the T-End stand. As if in preparation for building work... Trust me MP is worth a mint and how fortuitous that we seem to be straining at the leash to be homeless at the moment and going round looking for handouts.

If we can raise the land and start again then we should stay at Meadow Park but no-one can seriously expect us to moved back in and await the inevitable. Surely?

One person and one person only holds the key to where "The Tigers" end up.
So far not a word to us, from that direction!

I am sure there is a lot going on behind the scenes that we are not privy to and although this can be very frustrating it probably has to be like this.
Going back to Meadow Park can only be an option provided something is done regarding flood prevention.
Personally I would love us to go back to Meadow Park as I already had a round trip of 120mls without the added pain of travelling further to Nailswoth.
Understandably perhaps, many of us thought naively that because of the amount of news coverage things would happen very quickly and now we are getting little or no news it feels that nothing is happening and we are in total limbo.
I feel that we have to give those that have the responsibility the time and patience that is required to come up with a solution.

There is a nice pitch and stand at Hartpury College dresses up as a Rugby pitch. With a little bit of TLC that would make a nice rural retreat!

We must get back into the City and many of us said not to discount MP, if the council allow us to raise the ground then it's still a viable option. But I also think something has to be done with flood defences in the area, to protect the houses as well.

Gloucester RFC's season is due to start in a few weeks and apart from the usual put downs quite a lot have come out in support for city on shedeb and also another unofficial forum (forget the lame, quiet official one). Has anyone thought of geting buckets down there collecting, the rugger fans have already said they would help. They expect a sub 16,000 crowd due to the new stand opening as well.
A massive opportunity, and also good to wake up the people of Gloucester. The whole new ground campaign by the Citizen has gone quiet now.

Good idea Bob, I'm sure we have a free saturday soon. Maybe the club could arrange for some of the players to have a blanket collection in full kit down there...
