The thing about football is that things change really quickly. Michael Whittington is a class act who just needs his first goal to get going at our level, and when he does we will be purring over him as well. There may not be enough room for three strikers in a team but the chances are that with injuries, suspensions, loss of form and resting players he will get enough chances to prove himself, and the same goes for Scott Griffin. Competition is healthy!!!

If, as I suspect, we may now need to release one or two players to balance the books, I doubt whether it will be a contracted player like Whittington going, neither should it be. He's class!

We haven't seen the best of Whittington yet I don't feel since he signed for us, he hasn't recaptured the form of his first loan spell yet but I'm sure it will come soon enough.

It does seem like Whitts is muscled out of games by much larger defenders, maybe he need to get a bit more bulky, or change his style of play to play off the defenders and run in the channels alot more.

Its a matter of time before we see the true Michael Whittington!

I was really hoping he was going to get to Webby's goal against Halesowen, but it just span into the net before he got there. Having your name on the score sheet can really boost your confidence.

i've seen too many long balls ober the top aimed at whitts - that's not playing to his strengths. against swindon he was given the ball and ran at defences (and if anyone else had bothered to play would have had more impact)...

with the likes of Welsh or Bevan, we have target men for the crosses from Smith & Price ... Whitts is there to receive the ball on the ground, or pick up the knock-on from the target man ... this should be a formiddable striking force...

I have never liked 2 small guys up front, Whitts is best playing with Jason or Jody, but then what do you do with Pitcher - must play him as well......

I agrew with Dr Wart: Whitts is class, but we must play to his strengths. And you can't fault his attitude - he's chased everything. He will score goals, give him the chances and he'll snap them up.
