If that is true, Wow!

Its like our team has been transformed into real quality now. Price and Smith within a week!

It says something about in search of first team Football, but will he even have that at City?

:D

awesome, just what we need i think, if he is still reproducing the same form as when he left us we will really have a shot this year.

It's probably best to wait and hear things from this end before we get carried away about stories on other websites...

I have a feeling that this could well be true and will be a superb signing if it is confirmed.

We had a great squad to start with this season and the signings of Smith and Price will give us that width that we have been missing in a couple of games this season

Tim has asked me to confirm that discussions with Lee are well advanced, but to stress that no deal has yet been finalised. We will let you know as soon as it has.

Let's make sure that we give Lee a Big Welcome. He has always been a City Lad and can be the icing on the cake as far as our dreams go this season.

Tim has asked me to confirm that discussions with Lee are well advanced, but to stress that no deal has yet been finalised. We will let you know as soon as it has.I think that the Weston website, and it was the website (not the forum) was out of order for releasing that he was signing for us. It's their business if they're saying that he's released but it's ours to say that he's signed.

It could throw a spanner in the works :tosser:

Mike - can you pass on to Tim the folllowing. As a dealbreaker I am willing to share with Lee my collection of toenail clippings, the oldest of which are over 20 years old (I used to eat them before then).

I agree with Neil, dont count your chickens yet, there are many players which have been talking to Tim, not all have signed, although it would give us additional options. Can we afford him without letting anyone go as we have a good depth of experience in the squad and this can-not be cheap

Chris,

Is that meant for Yate Jr or Shandy and his toe nail clippings?? :D

Neil
6th September 2007, 04:52 PM
I copied Shandy's "Davenports Diary" on TR for reference and he used a quote on there about collecting toenail clippings. Some BBC researcher found it on google and emailed me asking if she could profile *me* for a show that they were planning about unusual hobbies....

Excellent news. Pace and width down both flanks. Very Impressed with Jamie Price so far, think he could be a star player for us this season.

what did the rest of the fans think of smithys return then

Neil
9th September 2007, 10:21 AM
He added some pace and threat down the wing but there wasn't any finished product yesterday. I'd like to think that with both Welshy and Jack ahead of him he'll know that his better option is to get to the touchline and cross rather than to cut inside and shoot.

chris
9th September 2007, 10:30 AM
in my opinion he put some decent balls in the box 2nd half, but lets 4get the game yesterday as we need 2 win at yate come on we need a CUP RUN

Dommotyger
10th September 2007, 09:55 PM
Was by far the best player on the park and made some great runs but sometimes its best to pass or cross than to keep the ball and up losing it although he did get some good balls in from what i can remember!

Keep it up Smithy!

agree with most comments. Lee is most dangerous when he is running at people, sucking in others players as he gets past the first man. This creates space for other players. My only criticism of Lee on Saturday would be that he held on to the ball too long and didn't always make use of the space he created for others, before getting crowded out. Learning when to pass the ball is an art in itself but one that unleashes bags of goals and plaudits

chris
11th September 2007, 01:15 PM
yeah maybe he was trying to hard but we need to give the ball to both flanks alot more,i hope we can beat yate im confident.
