What a load of rubbish we played second half. We made 5 serious defensive errors that cost us four goals when we should have murdered a poor Gloucester side and would have done if we'd continued as we did for the last 10 minutes of the first half.

my my how people see the games differently! They should have murdered a poor gloucester side but actually got murdered by that "poor Gloucester side"!

Great displays from all! Sam Ellis was excellent, Welshy did well upfront, and our new signing looked awesome again! Pitcher was just top class up front and was making a mockary out of their defense! Bit like a reversal of the Sbmarine game really. We just exploited a poor defence and a dodgy keeper!

oh did anyone see the new signing Jamie Breeze???? Apparently he played for us tonight according to their match details, oh and we had alex aslard on the bench according to their match announcer! i think they were both smoking the same stuff as the person who gave the attences as 500+! even one of their fans said there was only about 400!!

Great second half performance by the boys in blue tonight, good performances all over the pitch, but special mention for me goes to sam ellis, set up welsh for the first and produced a great header to put us 2-1 up. Pitcher getting a goal was also most welcome, he really livened up our game when he came on.

quite surreal singing against a dozen or more school kids. Hats off to Bromsgrove for attracting the youngsters...I bet the they do a roaring trade in fizzy pop.

We were excellent second half. Agree with Matt, the Bromsgrove muppet was probably a Walsall fan.

#Interesting one on the Bromsgrove site ...

"So 6 games, 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats 9 for and 9 against. A reasonable start but frustrating when we've seen how well we can play and then how we can also struggle. We've tried to play god football which made the second half so disappointing tonight. Hemel will be a real test on Saturday as they remain top but who knows how we'll fare as its so difficult to predict our form at the moment."

similarities with our form, except that we don't claim to by trying to play "god football"!

Great Result against very quick players.
We shaded the first half, but ran away with the second.
Everyone played their part, but when Jacque came on in the second half,he was different class!
But the star to me was Muzzie, I certainly have never seen him play as well as this for Tigers.
QUESTION IS? Where has this Muzzie been hiding all these years?
We need more of this,definitely!

Yes, we "ran away" with the second half, in which our pace was superior to theirs. Thanks to Webby and Jack Pitcher and Jamie Price for that.

We need more of this, definitely!I'm convinced that he's a confidence player, even at his age. Keep bigging him up and you'll see more and more quality from him. All I want to see from him is a goal, and we almost got one last night :notworthy:

BTW - Jack Pitcher was superb. Bromsgrove ought to be grateful that he only played half a game!

Whole team played well, patricularly second half, but the following deserve special mentions:

Sam Ellis - Certainly no 'Sam-son', shaving his hair off hasn't weakened his game. The first of what I'm sure will be many excellent performances, didn't seem to have any fear - hands off Man U!

Jason Welsh - Glad to see him back starting up front, offers something totally different and brings others into the play with his flick ons and ball holding upinery. Hopefully will soon be fully match fit, if he keeps off the injury table (have we got one?) then we will see a lot of goals shared out amongst the team.

Jamie Reid - Came in and shored up one of the wings, calm distribution and fierce in the tackle. Went off injured after his knee fell off, but he's got another so hopefully will be fit for Saturday.

Jamie Price - What a player, superb cross for the Ellster's goal, better distribution than Parcel Force. The Bromsgrove fans were asking him where his caraven was and I can tell them. Its parked on the corner of 3 Points Avenue and You took a Pasting Boulevard.

Jack Pitcher - Quite simply changed the game when he came on, taking the attack to the Brommies and frightening the life out of the green's defence. Their underwear will need a 90 degree boil wash and industrial washing powder this morning.

Muzzie - excellent bite in the middle, controlled the game and kept the passing crisp, short and sweet. And not for the first time this season - he's off to a cracker! Deserves to be bigged up - IMMENSE

A mention also for the Bromsgrove fans, who were behind their team most of the game, even singing at 4-1 down and a minute left. We demand recognition for our vocal support, so should be charitable when other teams are well backed by their fans. The Greens are a proper Southern League club with plenty of history and tradition, and a decent set up and fan base. Its always a pleasure taking three points off them.

so what was the difference between last night and our mroe lacklustre performances this season? did we keep the ball on the deck, use the wings more? Anything noticable that we did different or did we just play the same but get lucky?

No disrespect to Scott Griffin but in the first half him and Welshy were like chalk and chalk and it just didn't work so the great lummocks that deliberately kicked him at the end of the half did us a favour by forcing the substitution and bringing on Jack Pitcher.

The rest, as they say, is history

And don't overlook Chris Thompson, who has played ever so well since he returned to the side.

I was watching last night, thinking that all of a sudden we seem to have a rejuvinated Neil Mustoe in the side.

I agree that with Muzzie it's a confidence thing, but I don't think it's his self-confidence that affects him . . . it's the confidence he has in others.

It's no surprise that as the quality of players around him improves, so does his passing game. I don't think anyone's ever criticised him for lack of committment or for his tackling; it's his wayward passes that frustrate us.

Now that he has better players alongside him, players that can read the game as well as him, we see his passing improve. Coincidence? I think not.
