My hand was shaken today by a Rugby Town fan who said how sorry he was for the devastation of our ground. Whilst others may give us some banter about all of this, (which I think inappropriate, but then my sense of humour is different), I thought this was another great kindness. He is to send Kingo a cheque for £50. When you put the photos on their website Neil (will they allow you to do that ?) then please thank Rugby for their kindness.

A former City fan, now disabled and living away from home anyway, sent me £50 today as well. It's a rare day presently when some funds do not come in. If it stays like that for every day of the year we may start getting somewhere !

Yes, they'll let me post the links. I get on well with the Rugby folks, Tom Crinigan offered to take me to court and his henchman offered to send me to hospital ;)

I've found an odd mix of visitors - some are genuinely interested in our plight and want to help ... some simply want to mock us ... that is the nature of football fans ... some are fans of football and some only care about ther own team ... let's get used to it ... there is sufficient good will across the country to help us out ... cultivate the real relationships and don't be surprised by the mockers...

Well, yes, I think I knew that. Next up at The New Lawn is Brackley and I think we shall find that they have sponsored the matchball. Personally, however used to it I become, shan't find boorish morons singing about our having no ground easy to tolerate.

Raising money from the good guys has been a terrific experience though : Chippenham, Salisbury, Frome, Northampton, Brackley, Rugby, Bath, FGR, Bashley, Cheshunt and I am probably missing some. I think we would only have to take a bucket to some of the bigger clubs too - were there the time. Perhaps it should be done, even if it means missing City fixtures.

Endless examples of individuals' donations, of course, from Stirling to Margate, previously cited.
