That is fantastic, I never expected that to happen. Hopefully it will give us yet more press especially in the NLP.

Good news for sure by an extrra 0 would have been even better, one weeks wages for some players. but nice all the same.

Great news but around £500 a club is a little tight, like the Lawn Fan stated one weeks wages for the fringe players.

Thanks to who ever arranged that.

well done to the Premier League for doing this! Also well done to my Liverpool boys who didn't let us down and are sending a signed photo for us to auction/Sell!

This is brilliant news. Hopefully it's not designated for clear up funds and will be able to be used to make up the shortfall that we are bound to suffer in our week to week finances.

Great news and good to see that the Premier league can see that grass roots football is lower than the Championship ;)

Couldn't agree more !

Sorry, but I couldn't agree less.

The money British Gas Businesses, The Premier League and others are donating is surely meant to be used to either renovate Meadow Park (I know that's not likely and not popular) or to be used to help finace a new ground. The club should keep all donations in a separate account for one of those uses.

As difficult as it may prove other expenses should be covered in other ways.

I think the money should be used in whatever way will keep this Club afloat {sorry about the pun].

The very fact that we have moved to FGR means we have a shortfall immediately from the bar takings and I believe this to be a substantial amount. Any functions that the Trust arranges will be also minus bar receipts wherever we hold the event.

The Trust is always thinking up new ideas to suppliment the Clubs cash-flow situation, but there comes a limit to what we can achieve and keep taking from the fans.

I'm clearly in the minority but it seems to me the monies are being given as a result of the flood damage and the need to find a new ground or to repair the old one. Consequently there is a moral obligation to use the money for one of those purposes.

If it becomes known that donations are being used to subsidise day to day running of the club I would expect a drop in, if not a stop to, donations and good will. If exile from Gloucester last for any great length the money given would drift away like sand through your fingers. I think that would be a great folly.

I agree it is a difficult decision.

Have to say that I agree with Phil here. These donations have been made because of the damage caused to MP in the recent floods and I think the £20,000 or so that has been donated should be put towards a new ground when we can find somewhere to build it.

I think we would be more likely to get a grant if we can say we already have a large amount to put towards a new stadium.

Any short fall in bar takings will need to be found in other ways - more people through the gates would be excellent for us :)

Same old problem here then. If we cannot sustain a decent Team, the turnstiles will not be turning !

It is a very emotive subject.

Many of the Trusts that are likely to give out grants, work on that basis, some of them on a match basis, they match what we generate.

Is there anyone who has experience of Trust applications? These can be time consuming to complete, and usually take time to get an answer back.

Radical idea here, but I reckon the £10K should be put behind the FGR bar at the last game of the season and we the fans get completely and truly assoled.

This got a mention in the NLP again. Their was a small article with quotes from our chairman and someone from the Premier League and they said it was an easy decision to make to help us out.
I think it should also be pointed out that it was mentioned in the NLP that the Premier League should do something a few weeks ago so fair play to them.
