I was born and bred in Cheltenham and followed the Robins since 1984 and sometimes the term "Cheltenhamshire" is used by Cheltenham fans at games; it's always been the case. I'm quite aware of what Cheltenhamshire means, the term clearly originated as a means of causing offence to Gloucester, I just think its disrespectful to use it in the context of a local news website, it would be like jenni referring to Matt rose as a former 'scummer' in her reports, there is a place for these phrases but it isn't the local press.
