Very unprofessional use of language from John Palmer there, I wonder is this a Cheltenham podcast or a Cheltenham reserves podcast? He sometimes has trouble telling the difference...

I'd just ignore them, they're just trying to make themselves look big when all they really are is not a valid excuse (http://swns.com/pro-footballer-not-famous-enough-avoid-jury-duty-301123.html)!

Gloucestershire People want Cheltenham Town FC it's their No.1 county football league club.
And to your original post/point you dislike "Cheltenhamshire" so why look at the website, if you're so against it. I was born and bred in Cheltenham and followed the Robins since 1984 and sometimes the term "Cheltenhamshire" is used by Cheltenham fans at games; it's always been the case. Just chill out about it, not worth getting bitter about.

Well if that's the case where were all these "Gloucestershire" sport loving people on Sunday, because they weren't at Whaddon Rd.

I'm quite aware of what Cheltenhamshire means, the term clearly originated as a means of causing offence to Gloucester, I just think its disrespectful to use it in the context of a local news website, it would be like jenni referring to Matt rose as a former 'scummer' in her reports, there is a place for these phrases but it isn't the local press.

It's a podcast simply named "This is Cheltenhamshire" I'm sure it wasn't intended to cause a stir.

Actually when jenni was working at the citizen she referred to the Robins nest as the 'scuzzers nest' on the Cof and was told by the then sports editor to remove it...double standards.

And rightly so...I shall smack her bottom when I see her.
