As I pursue the selling of the flood badges on Ebay, I am getting some heartening messages. Two today, in fact : one from the Russian Federation and the other from Stirling, Scotland.
The latter paid this tribute to us all : "Best wishes to all at Gloucester, and my congratulations on the way your fans are rallying round"

Tis was the date Billy Wallace and his men slayed fine English blood at the battle of Stirling Bridge. The locals took umbrage at having to play in the Unibond Premier.

Have we anything on the history of Hitchin Town ? They ought also to be on our role of honour. I will tell you more about why in the matchday programme for the visit of Brackley on 8th September.
Brackley Town ? No, we've not played them before but they too are strongly featured on the list of those clubs who have helped us. More about them anon. However robust and competitive their team turns out to be, and Banbury would have you believe that is just the case, please remember them, like Hitchin, as friends of the City.
