No, not at my place I couldn't get you all around the table !

On Sunday the 23rd of September at 12 noon, in an effort to raise money for Trust Funds, lunch has been arranged at TOPOLYS ITALIAN RESTAURANT in Southgate Street.

This lunch is 3-course and represents excellent value @ £17.00 pp, so why not bring family members along as well.

This promises to be a very pleasant fund-raiser. Gordon and Sally have copies of the menu, and they would like you to choose the first two courses from a splendid range of dishes, and return the information to them. Cost is £17 per head, with some profit (I know not what) in it for the Trust. Starts as 12 noon, 49 Southgate Street in our fine city.

It's the success of events like this that will make or break our football club this season, so please come and join us. As ever the Trust's achievements in fund-raising will be reflected in the performances that we shall see on the pitch. If you wonder what eating in an Italian Restaurant is to do with enjoying being a football supporter then there's your answer.

If you don't know your cannelloni from your catanachio, your tagliatelle from your BBC telly, then you are in the same boat as me -and I can't wait to find out. No chopsticks - thank goodness.

Sorry unavailable for this one - decided to make the most of the game against Kings Lynn on the Saturday and stay with friends up that way for the weekend
