We have the option to run a coach from Glos to FGR for home matches. Unfortunately due to work commitments i will be unable to run this. I need someone to take this over. I will provide all contact numbers. i will continue to run all of the away games.
Cheers
Clifty
P.s. i have just had confirmation from K B Coaches that they do not have a coach this saturday so the first saturday will be Vs Bashley on 8th September

Clifty, i remember briefly chatting to you about this on saturday. As most people who would need this service would be those without a car, shouldnt there be a city centre pick-up point for people who will first get a bus into town?

Agree with Lee on this. If it's coming from Stonehouse I don't see why it can't do something like Quedgeley, up Bristol Road, Trier Way (p/u Leisure Centre), London Road, Barnwood Road, Hucclecote Road, Ermin Street and then A46 to Stroud (and back in reverse). If it was advertised like that I think we'd have much more success..

if someone wants to take over the running of this to do these collection points then feel free. i just don't have the time when i start my job next week. Feel free to offer to take over the running of this and i will just concentrate on the away coaches!!

IF I could board at Quedgeley, I'd be interested.

Is the A46 to Stroud OK as with the problem at Edge there are diversion signs at the Cross hands roundabout at Brockworth.

The A46 is closed for up to six months, by Salmon Springs, the road is a bad state following the recent bad weather.

It's fine if you take a right at Edge and go via Whiteshill. You can cut out Merrywalks by going up through Selsley that way too

Sadly I shall have to miss the 8th September match as I have two hospital appointments that afternoon.

I think I'm in a position to drive people around - I don't have a PSV licence, but am happy to drive my car or a microbus (if we have one) ... I think 1 and 8 sept are vaguely OK - so tell me what I need to do!

It was a great idea clifty. Seems as though most people managed to get to Forest Green using their cars or the service bus on tuesday night however.

it was more for the kids and oaps that won't be able to get there! people seem to be getting slightly carried away i think. i wouldn't expect any other attendances to be anywhere near tues nights. Unfortunately as is the case is those that say they want to help suddenly disappear once you ask for it!
