Not just City looking for more support this season.

I find the situation with the rugby club odd how their crowds can rise and fall by a couple of thousand every game.
Strange people rugby fans.

They just pick and choose their games, the games against Leicester, Bath and Wasps are always well attended. Some of them also play on a saturday afternoon so they don't go unless it a Friday or a Sunday match.

Lots of "come watch rugby" stuff in the front and the back of the paper again.
The attendances weren't *that* low so I find the almost hysterical "please support us" stuff a little odd.

A sign of financial desperation? I wonder if any GRFC would actually rally around if the club went into Admin.

Thats exactly what it is isn't it? A paper full of free adverts, the indoctrination of local people towards rugby is astonishing, "I didn't know Gloucester had a football team" may well sound mocking coming out of the mouths of strangers but this paper and it's constant free advertising is wholly responsible for that thickism to keep itself evolving around the City.
