Don't forget to show your appreciation of the effort that these lads put in, I reckon they've done a superb job.

I'll maybe look into turning the commentary into a podcast cos they were pretty good don't think we can put it all in the highlights

Turned out better than I think we imagined, can't believe I sound like such a nerd though, i'm sure to take some banter for that from my so called mates this week.

Really good video there and great commentary.

Mike Green's pass for Symons was absolutely amazing!

No idea why but the audio is well out of sync with the video towards the end. It's fine on the file on my PC some something has gone awry with the upload to youtube :(

I just thought were so knowledgable, they could read the game with uncanny accuracy. Top work fella's, it sounds just as professional as AFCT efforts, and that is a BBC radio Shropshire effort. Just when you think our club cannot get any more well served by it's supporters, it takes it up yet another notch :D

Coming from a professional I thought you sounded pretty good. A football commmantry is something I havnt done before but I can imagine it takes a bit of practice getting used to have to talk for 45 minutes without a break especially when you dont know the opposition players and at points in the game where very little happens

Yes, excellent stuff lads.

Well done to Lee and Penalty and indeed to Yates Junior for some good camera work!

I particularly liked the part when you tell us that Symo had scored the penalty as he was taking his run up. Even Motty's not that good.

If I could stream the commentary (audio only) live on the internet during the game, is this something people who cant get to the games would be interested in listening to? Would mean that the commentary on the rest of the game isn't wasted then.

Neil

That would be perfect Matt.

Redditch Goals

Now I know I've slowed up a lot so I must have dozed off during Monday afternoon's game but do tell me, how many goals did Redditch score?

I have looked into to streaming radio before, I wont be able to do it for saturday's match but I am getting a new laptop on monday so will see if we can do an experimental one for the Guiseley game

Darran

I would listen when able to as I really enjoyed the fact I was able to listen to the Telford game the other week. I can imagine away fans would like it as well.

Great effort from all concerned, but what a sh#t ground that is, what kind of Village numptys own it I wonder?
Live commentary a great idea

This is the kind of thing we need to do. Nigel mentioned in his programme notes about Radio Gloucestershire refusing the offer of (free) help, I say we say bollocks to them and do it ourselves.

Noah

It would be great if this idea can be progressed. Re. Radio Glos. don't think I have been inactive in this regard, and I may have something to say before long. In the meantime, I think Neil's response can count as mine.

Maybe with Shandy reading the hourly news, Bob on the chart, and Penno doing the breakfast show. We could broadcast 24/7 and put the bastards out of business.....no wait a minute, we pay for them with our licence fee. Why DO we do that?

Yatesey
1st September 2010, 21:18
i know a site we can broadcast on I guess they have wifi at WR I've already got the software needed for it on my laptop too so could use that if wanted Matty

excellent commentary... I watched on youtube, where the sound was slightly ahead of the action - or did the boys accurately predict what was going to happen? The only bad thing about the video was the Redditch defending

"can we play you every week"

They are a disgrace and I would say its down to the production team and the presenter not being arsed about making a good radio show and just being lazy and playing music instead which is very poor indeed.

Don't think me privileged, but I already have steaming radio. It's just a modest transistor in the bathroom, beside the bog roll.

I hope yours is better!!!

There is no wifi at WR btw - so you would have to use mobile broadband which is not cheap if you are streaming data...

There's none or it's not available to us? Is there a LAN that we can plug into? I find it quite surprising that a Football League ground doesn't have that, unless they use a better alternative.

tigermatty
2nd September 2010, 11:10
I belive the one's that are there belong to radio glos...I do find it surprising there is no wifi available for journos though

Yatesey

I've picked up WiFi there before but can't log into it so maybe ask see if we can connect to it
