All,
Talk Sport will be doing a feature on our plight and trying to start a campaign to get the footballing world behind footballs flood victims. Tim Harris has agreed to take part and will be interviewed by Gary Stephens. Please listen, and if you get the opportunity to join in then do so.
TalkSport broadcast on 1089/1053 AM I believe, can be found on DAB, and on digital TV on channels 0108 (Sky) , 927 (Virgin), and 723 (Freeview).
Tims interview is due at 9-40pm this evening, but not sure when the actual feature will have started, so tune in earlier.

They'll have to wait for me to interview him after the Frome match. These big shots, tsk ;)

We can tape it from the TV (Channel 0108), if you like because I don't think we are going tonight.

That is fantastic ! As those of you who read my programme notes know, I am a bit of a follower of Talk Sport. (So that accounts for Mike)
I also rate Gary Stephens highly, partly because he was such an elegant player with Spurs, but also he talks sense and I like the way he talks. Some words he can stretch to eight seconds . . .
This is another case of Harris scooping me. I would have been ringing them otherwise. I'd have probably targeted Porky Parry or Adrian Durham, but we'll probably get more sense from Gary Stephens.
And Tim H is just the man for this. You and I wouldn't make the same headway that he's likely to, but maybe we can keep peppering the station if Tim gets their sympathy and understanding, which he's sure to do.

Unfortunately, Simon was a bit hasty. He is coming to Frome with me. Can someone else tape it?

What a great piece of PR for the club, I listened to it on Freeview and taped it on a video, if no-one else got it I can always copy it onto my computer and then get it put on the forum.
It painted a very bleak picture of our chances of playing at Meadow Park again this season, let's hope we can.

Couldn't record this, but listened carefully and jotted down Tim's main points. He seemed to cover a full range of issues admirably. I guess it's being practised in those interviews he gives to Neil.
(Going to have a go at this myself, with R. Glos tomorrow - not necessarily to be broadcast then, but at the weekend)

It painted a very bleak picture of us EVER playing again at Meadow Park. I came away from the report more depressed than I have been at any stage during this crisis. Especially when the pundits speculated on what could easily happen from now on, playing away every week, no revenue, loss of players, downward spiral etc. For the first season in more years than I can remember we have a great chance of success, and the gods sneer on us again. The Big Man upstairs (I don't mean Colin Gardner) definitely lives in Charlton Kings.
Things will seem better tomorrow

At least it wasn't just me who felt more depressed after hearing the interview.
As I put in my other post, after hearing Tims words and those of the pudits it is hard to stay positive !
