Im holding back as I seriously could go balistic on there but if there is any more proof at what some people in gloucester think of the club the shedweb has proved it. Posts by 3 different users below off there..

"Some good has come out of the flooding...
Gloucester City Football Club!. :p"
"ah, a new boating lake..! "
"at least Gloucester City's Ground can be put to some good use for once. Perhaps a new fishing lake?"
Would we be doing the same if it was Kingsholm. Of course not, we're in the same city for christ sake. Complete TWATS

Those comments are probably made by the same people that are buying about 20 loaves, 20 cartons of milk and taking all the free bottles of water they can cram into their cars.

Unfortunately, some people take delight in others misery. I console myself with the fact that I believe they are not typical.

Too true, sums up todays society. People sniggering on the internet at other peoples misfortune. When half the county has no electricity, water, have lost some or all their possesions and some poor lady lost her two twins I find it hard to stomach that lowlifes on there proclaiming to come from the area are making light of our and others desperate situation and the fact that no-one else on there has spoken out about it (unlike cheltenham fans for instance on the robins nest, fair play to them)

Just goes to show how dumb and midless some people in this city are! This is probably the same idiots that have been driving in their 4x4's this morning, ignoring road closed signs and creating waves of water that end up in people's houses!!

Stuff the ra-ra, middle class, chelsea taxi driving a-holes. Most of whom wouldn't have been watching Glos 12 years ago when they were fighting it out at the bottom of the league. Like the Cleric said I believe this is not the thoughts of most shed heads, but makes you sick reading tripe like that.
Surely you would think this is a time of drawing together etc etc not laughing at others misfortunes whether you like them or not.

In an ideal world the obvious choice would be for the club to use Kingsholm till meadow park is ready again, but that will never happen. Gloucester RFC is one of the premier rugby clubs in the country and as far as I'm aware Kingsholm is fine apart from obviously a very wet pitch. Nothing has even come from them offering help or even official comments about it, apart from some idiots on that forum laughing away. I would hope that they can at least show some support towards us. I cant see any other city in England adopting this attitude. :tosser:

Very sad to see those sort of comments from people who can't possibly understand what its like. I certainly wouldn't believe the vast majority of Gloucester Rugby Club share these sentiments but it is depressing that a minority feel the need to laugh at others misfortune

Their living in their own little world, they don't understand that the Ground is not insured because it's on a flood plain and has been flooded before. They would probably go on to say why did you build there ? They will not be able to understand that the location of the club was somewhat forced upon us by the County Coucil or Planners.
If Kingsholm was in our position they to would be devastated, but they don't see that.
I cannot even stick up for you Neil because I cannot logon for some reason, I don't think they would have the capability of understanding anyway.

To be honest, ignore it, lets focus our energy on thanking those who are helpijg us, drumming up support in other areas, and any other 1001 things that need to be done from now on.

What a disgrace. I had little time for Gloucester Rugby Club and now I have none. Its a shame their pitch will never get flooded as then they can see what it feels like, but of course if that was to happen then they would get loads of help. I read that people were selling bottles of water they had just been given free as well and I bet they are rugby fans. Also saw clips of people loading their cars of water when they wernt meant to be taking that much and they had no answer when the reporter told them they were taking to much. I cant repeat what I was shouting at the TV.

It was flooded just a few metres from the back of Kingsholm stand on Deans Walk, had the flood defences failed then I've no doubt it would have got into the ground and also the foundations for their new stand, could have been really costly for them.
There are some on there who try and give us some credit, but the rest of them live in a different world, one I'm not going to visit.

well i would like to say that i feel for you guys and i hope you can overcome this set-back and get back to the optimism you had for the oncoming season, ignore the snipers, it says more about their personalities than anything. See you on the 21st August, hopefully by then this setback will be far from your minds and you can enjoy the football again.

There are quite a few Gloucester City fans asking to join this board. At the moment I have them pending.
I'll keep it that way for a while, I don't - and I'm pretty sure most other users don't - want the board decending into a 'my sport is better than your sport' argument which is dull to say the least.
I think most city fans are actually wanting to put in context the clubs current situation and raise its profile to some people that may care, rather than slag their code off.
But just to let you know, I have yet to receive anything from the rugby club

As you'd probably expect, I've said my piece ;)
Anyhow, and this is important regarding the rugby....
Sandra Chase has asked that any disagreement that our supporters have and are aiming towards the rugby fans be put on hold. She has hinted that there may well be something in the pipeline and it would be a shame to spoil it because of something written on this independant, unofficial website that his no official link with Gloucester City AFC and is run externally from the club (hint hint!)

At the point that I wrote that nobody had, however I am glad that there has been some that have since, thankyou for your support. My father has been a season ticket holder at Kingsholm since 1991 and I watched Gloucester RFC before watching city so I certaintly have nothing against the rugby! I'm sure theres plenty on here like that.

I just want to apologise for the idiots (I won't call them rugby supporters) on the Shedweb and the official site message board who see your predicament as one big laugh. I know I wouldn't be too pleased if the shoe was on the other foot and Kingsholm was flooded.
Hopefully, as intimated, there is something in the pipeline where Gloucester Rugby can offer you guys some help.
Best of luck for the forthcoming season.

Thanks Dave, we've got it bad enough at City at the moment without the mocking from sections of the rugby fans.
