I have just spoken with Club Chairman Ashley Saunders and he is planning to speak to City Manager Tim Harris with a view to offering our ground for City's use until they can get sorted.

It is times that this that you realise who your friends really are! all of the local teams are offering help in one way or another! All we need now is for Cheltenham to come in!

I can confirm that Ashley has spoken to Tim. I understand Ashley has offered our ground to City with no charge and City to take all gate receipts.
We appreciate all the remarks we get about our pitch from City fans, but it is in superb condition right now, and we have spent a fair bit upgrading to meet S.L. requirements, so hopefully it would be accepted by the League if needs be. Not too far to travel either. Oh and the bears will be on their best behaviour.

Great gesture by Cinnerford for sure. Mr Saunders has always treated us well. He's even been on hand to help when we've been trying to park there.

Not a time to go Bobbins bashing. They are hosting Bristol Rovers, remember.

The problem we have is that until Rovers come to Whaddon Road in December, the ground will still be used by our reserves on a regular basis. Plus, I'm sure there maybe issues with game clashes. I haven't looked at the fixture list, just making that point.

I'm not sure what is going on at Whaddon Road with regards to helping you lot out, what I do know is that there is a high number of Chelts fans who want to help, give or take the odd one.

Best of luck, and I hope your game with FGR can be sorted. I would have attempted to go, but I'm in Manchester.

For Cheltenham fans to offer help makes you realise just how good the people are! Maybe this is where the bridge starts to be built with our bitter enemies!!
