Had a fair bit of rain since Tuesday was called off. Anybody know how the pitch is looking for tomorrow?

So 6k to play at ciren, £45 to play at Chelt less the money the council is offering.
So costs go up £19k for a side averaging say 300 a game. Assume that generates gate receipts of say £2k and thats perhaps optimistic.
The change is the equivalent to the club of no gate receipts for 9 home games.

What sort of squad are we going to have next year ?

will our gates go up at Chelt ? We might need an extra 3000 people over the year just to break even.
will the stewarding costs make this situation worse ?

All I will say is don't assume that this will affect our budget! The club know what they are doing!

I think it's probably the cost of progress. A year ago I knew what our budget was, with the players that we've brought in towards the end of this season I can't imagine what it is now.

I think we have to put our trust in the club, they've had their fingers burned enough times in the past so I'd be very surprised if they would enter into any contract (player, ground or other) which they knew they wouldn't be able to sustain.

I do hope so. It will be so much better for youse to be, so to speak, down the road and much more cenvenient to get down the match. Rather than up the mountain then trolling along the plateau top. And, optimistic, a sustained support from the local media to raise awareness that there will be good quality football at Whaddon Road each and hopefully every week that will bring more through the gate.

We'll miss you but in all honesty I doubt you have ever had more than a dozen or so non-travelling Ciren fans plus the usual few neutrals who come to The Corinium when FGR, or whoever, are away. I'd expect quite a few Robins will turn up, if not to be emotionally committed but just looking for a good game of footy. So it is realistic to work to try and get 450 or more to each match.

I really think, given the right marketing, that our attendencies at WR will shock a few people. I think we will average 500+.
