Has the Trust ever thought about erecting one on the corner of Sudmeadow Rd and Hempstend Lane (Yate Town have one on the road near to their ground and maybe Chip and Ham )now that the bypass is open more cars go by MP. Just thought it might attract some extra folks.............

That is a very good point mate! now that there is so much traffic going past, it surely wouldn't hurt?

I remember when they did that briefly on Bristol road and it all went to pot as the board was only updated for about a month then was left to rot for the next 5 months before it was taken down.
I think it's a great idea, as long as the above does not happen again!

Isn't planning permission required?

The bit opposite the traffic lights as you come from the big bridge would be a great place. Or Wall's roundabout if we wanted to get bigtime, I bet 10,000 cars a day go past there, we could even share one with the Rugby team.

Either by the new bypass or Walls roundabout would be great - obviously cost and planning permission could be two major stumbling blocks but worth looking into me thinks

This is probably the best way to promote the club, because we aren't neccessarily targeting one demographic, eg: Citizen Sport section. We are targeting everyone in the City to come pop down to Meadow Park, and placing this in a place such as the Walls Roundabout would really benefit the club because everyone will look at it. Especially if its in the vibrant yellow and black colours.
This should be seriously looked at.
