...anyone know how much it costs to hire the bar?

John Davis is you man re both the price and available dates. Get your friend to call MP with his contact details and I will pass them onto John when I next check the voicemail (it will be checked tonoght - Thursday and Saturday as well)

The bar is free to hire unless things have changed since my 50th in March.
Bar staff were excellent that night, very friendly, and John was extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The cost varies on what the event is and how many people are attending. John is the man to ask.

Sorry to inturupt again but I think Shandy has missed the point of the origional message...........
Shandy.......they are not trying to RAISE the height of the bar......the person is trying to HIRE the bar .......... which means borrow the facillites for the evening and paying a fee to do so
