I cant believe Western would want Jody back especially as he will have to prove himself after a long injury.

At best Jody is currently our fourth choice striker and it's gonna take him a while to come back from his injury. Personally I certainly don't rate him as highly as the fan on the Weston forum does - but he shows real passion when playing for City and if the rumour is true it would be sad to lose a player like that.

Well, Jody has just dropped me an email to say that it's all bollocks so that puts that little story to bed.....

Good news, a fit again Jody would provide real competition for our forwards which can only be good. Does anyone know if he is now fit enough to play in pre-season or is he going to have to wait?

This is what Jody has to sayIf the knee gets through pre-season, and I am pretty sure it will, then I will probably start the season fitter than at any time in my career as I have been in the Gym 4 times a week since January and I have never done that before!

Good. The more competition the better.

And what has happened with Neil? Not long ago he was the naughty boy for being rude to Cheltenscum - now he has secret knowledge about the new kit and gets personal e-mails from the players!.......;)

I also signed the forms as the witness when Matt Rose joined too ;)

I think we need to give Jody a big helping of patience and time - his injury was a bad one and even if things, fingers crossed, go right he's going to need a few months and probably a loan spell to get back to match fitness.

I really hope he does get back though, his effort and attitude both in and out of the team have been spot on. It's be fantastic to have him back to his best, the more competition for places the better - he can push Welsh for the role of forward target man and can also cover in other positions.

I think all this shows is that most of us who scribble things on these various footie forums know the square root of nowt ;)

I hope we can keep hold of Jody. I think he could get us a few goals next season and would be a good back up player behind Whitts, Pitcher & Welshy.

Jody is an excellent addition to the squad, someone who shows alot of passion for what he does. I definately hope he can figure for us next season.
