Just got back from Toys R Us, the chap there said that they had 100 PS3's delivered yesterday. They opened at midnight for the BIG rush when 5 people turned up. They still had 70 in stock whilst i was there. I wouldn't mind getting one but it's a lot of cash, I'll wait until they come down in price. I must say it did look impressive on the HD TV in there though!

aye does look nice but are the games any better than the 360? which is £150 or so cheaper, I suppose you get Blu-ray built in the ps3, I already have a 360 and a wii so i wont bother with the ps3.

Your right Tonkertoy. The 360 is quite a bit less at the minute. There's bound to be some ferocious price wars in the run up to Christmas. Bargains galore which can only be good for us the consumer.:cool:

The only thing I don't like about the XBOX over the PS is the lack of games with peripheals (sing star, dance dance etc) that would make it more fun. Hopefully it'll change when Guitar Hero comes out :D

The PS3 is gigantic - I saw one on display the other day.
Most PS3 games look to be starting off at £49.99 :eek: They're havin a laugh!

just got one delivered from amazon and they have not delivered the games ordered with it, how frustrating and it wont play ps2 games :mad: :mad: :mad:

It's also meant to play PS1 games aswell.

I'm definately waiting for the price to come down, I haven't given in despite massive peer pressure to get and X BOX, hopefully everyone else feels the same and the prices comes right down quickly!

The price is way to expensive, like Paul, when the prices come down by Christmas then I'll consider buying one.

Right, got myself a PS3 this week. Any tips on what games are worth getting for it? I've got Resistance:Fall Of Man, Motorstorm, FIFA08 and Virtua Tennis 3.

i had to renew my mobile lately and they were giving free PS3's with some contracts. I am on the same contract as before, paying the same, but got a free phone and PS3! Bargain. The graphics are awesome and the Blu-Ray player is definately better than a standard Dvd player. Absolutely awesome. I bought call of duty 4, but wouldn't recommend it. I had completed it within 3 days, and about 6 hours of playing. This coming from someone who rarely completes games. I got Need for Speed Most wanted from Ebay, and am enjoying that. Got £35 quid worth of vouchers as a christmas bonus at work so may buy a new game. what is fifa 08 like on the Ps3 woody??

i got it mate and have to say that they are coming up on par to pro-evo. I think i actually prefer it to pro-evo, and that is the first time i have ever said that about a Fifa game!

New Pro Evo is crap as the online features are totally ruined by constant lag. At first I thought it might be my internet connection but found out that it is a problem across all Xbox 360s and PS3s. Not happy :mad:

Does anyone know if there is any way to transfer my gam data from a PS2 memory card, to the PS2 hard drive space on the PS3??
