Anybody here at the Glos Festival to see the remarkable end of play today - what happened?
Saw a few minor celebrities there yesterday including Dave Hatton, John and Judith Evans

It was an incredible finish. Let 4th June be known from now on as Gidman's Day. Read the BBC site for details - or ask Martyn Ellis, who counted the overs down and kept passing the run rate on to Dave Phillips, Rob Kujawa and myself.
All of the other three would have bet their houses on a Northants win. I'd like to say that I would have backed Glo'shire, but I predicted a draw.
I have never seen a team so delighted at the end of a cricket match. The Shire really were depleted by all sorts of problems. Two were even injured in the warm up today ! But they stuck at it marvellously. The new kid of spin looks the biz and Greenidge's last over was a sensation.

You might find it hard to believe of such a mild mannered man, but Dave Hatton was barracking Carl Greenidge on the boundary yesterday, within earshot of the son of a great man. So in many ways you can thank the Hattmeister for this win, as Carlos went out to prove him wrong.

Just saw the final scorecard after looking at it earlier when it looked as though Northants may win it. Well done to the shire!

I decided not to travel to Derby today in case I was pressed into playing. Has ever the county suffered such misfortune with injuries ?

Talking of cricket, I played against Joey Tustain the other day. He got a golden duck but did catch me after a skied one for 9 :(

Perhaps you and JT can help the County make up the numbers.

That must have been one hell of a shot, must have had snow on it when it came down.
