Is this game going to take place again this year ?

Hopefully. I've set the wheels in motion over the past week. A Players vs. Supporters match has already been given Tim's blessing too.
I understand the word genuine, and have already decided that I'll make every effort to keep ringers and part timers away. Please appreciate that it's not always as easy as that though.
I'll keep you lot informed as things develop.

Well done Joe for taking this on, I was going to ask you if you would but it's easy to have someone do the spadework for everyone else.
Any ideas of any dates for these and also well done to Nigel on the thread title. Lets stick to it...

I was hoping to get both matches in on week nights between the 1st and 12th of May. We'll see how that pans out as a rough guideline.

I might have five minutes at the end of the Pete Chase Cup against the Ladies if the scores aren't too close....

Of course you're in mate. You're a very regular attender and an important part of the T-End.

Sorry Simon, but can't see you even being considered for a place in the team, you'd need football boots to be able to play. :D

If it was good enough for Gary Kemp it's good enough for Simon, stop bullying the lad Jake, a man of your age and maturity should be ashmaed of yourself.
It's also racist.

Count me in for both (depending on dates). Will give me a chance to rekindle my goalscoring partnership with Shandy from the Tiger Roar team from the 90's when we scored goals for fun against supporters teams from Merthyr, Newport and Cardiff

There's no need to keep getting engraved every year Reg, you might as well just get it done once with the phrase - SUPPORTERS TEAM - WINNERS

We're very much struggling for dates at the moment Dom. I'm doing my best, but the dates when the pitch are free are all very close to Ladies games/tournaments, and the pitch gets taken up a week after the season finishes.
Developments will be put on here as they happen.

If cannot get before the pitch gets taken up then would still like to play, but at an alternative location?

Don't panic, I've passed the dates on, think we might be on, the Ladies are straining at the leash, to demonstrate their improved skills and tactics, failing that, Meheran has been practising biting ankles.

If you're both up for it we'll do seperate Crossbar Challenges after the game (or before if we don't have the floodlights) but take them from closer to the goal after it proved too difficult last night :)
