View Full Version : Help Needed
The Football Club are looking for help at home matches this season operating the turnstile. It's worth £15 per game if you're reliable

What time does it involve getting there, and what time are you free to watch the game? I'd be happy to help out, and I wouldn't expect to be paid.

I asked for that;)
Hopefully Nigel will see this and be able to answer any questions, I had an email from him earlier and the subject of help came up.

I would be amazed if the club had to pay for this service. I'm sure enough of us would commit to a rota system getting the job done for free.
It always has been a paid job as far as I can remember although I think if someone is willing to commit to a regular basis and give their time then they could be paid with a season ticket.
I'd be up for ball boy but cant guarantee i'd make it every game

I'd certainly be up for this & like Mr Angel I certainly wouldn't expect any form of payment for this.
You may remember that I said I would pursue the question of what help was needed at the next Executive, and that is on Monday. Thanks to Dave and Nick. Personally, I am very heartened by those responses. If Nige hasn't seen this thread it will be great to go into the meeting with some potential answers to the manpower issue. I think the job sharing / rota approach might be a good way forward too, because it would prevent any sense of the role ( any role, that is) being a burden.

I am also willing to help out as much as I can, including as an emergency programme seller to cover Trev, but will have to balance this out with taking my 7 year old to games. After dabbling over the past couple of seasons I'm hoping he can get addicted to City this year, especially since the World Cup has ignited his football loving ember.
This is exactly what my frank and to the point reply to Noah last week aimed to achieve, I hope the committee are heartened by the response.
