Please could you read this thread. It could help make a big difference to the City youth squads. Its a great way you can help the lads out during the summer months.

Gloucester City Youth Development have joined forces with Foneaid to help raise important funds for our youngsters while at the same time making a big difference to people in developing countries and the environment.

All I am asking you to do is to ask around your colleagues at work, friends down the pub, your family, in fact anybody you know, if they have an old mobile phone they no longer use - even if is broken. With people upgrading all the time, I bet you will be surprised how many phones are sat in drawers and cupboards not being used. Heather and I found 3!

Each phone you collect will raise £3.00 for Gloucester City Youth Development. So, say only 5 of you have a go and collect 10 phones from your office. That's £150 for club funds - or to put it another way, enough money to purchase a whole seasons worth of match balls for at least a couple of the junior squads.
It's really as easy as that.

If you want to give it a go then please send me a PM with a contact address. I have some leaflets and posters you can use and some bags to collect the old phones.

What happens to the phones. They guarantee that every phone is either reused in developing countries or recycled, so 100% of the phones collected are diverted from landfill sites where they can cause serious environmental problems.

So - you can help Gloucester City Youth, the environment and people in developing countries all by collecting something nobody else wants. Not a bad deal eh?
Please send me a PM if you would like more information.

Thank you
