Yes it does. There are no more spaces to fill that would avoid it.

Is Corby the only league game which needs to be fitted in? It's not unknown for county cup games to be played in pre-season.

Looking at their fixture list, the Corby game is going to be a bugger to fit in:

Gloucester City
Sat 10th - Stafford (h)
Thurs 15th - Harrogate (h)
Sat 17th - Northwich (a)
Tues 20th - Harrogate (a)
Sat 24th - Ilkeston (h)

Corby Town
Thurs 8th - Eastwood (a)
Sat 10th - Stalybridge (h)
Tues 13th - Harrogate (a)
Sat 17th - Telford (a)
Weds 21st - Blyth (h)

Both teams already playing midweek every week, but on different days! Where do you fit in a match there? Looks like someone's going to have to play two matches in two days.

If the Conference had any sense they would just say that as we cant get relegated and they cant get into the play-offs we may as well just play the game on the 27th or something. How can you ask teams to play two games in two days? I bet it wouldnt happen in the Premier League.

Corby could move their Blyth match to the Tuesday, leaving the Thursday available?

... or they could visit us this week

Think you will find Dr.Wart that Cirencester have games to catch up on as well.

Looks like Thursday 22nd will be the most likely date for Corby.

Had to laugh at your opening there Darren.....conference and sense are not words that go together!!!
