Cheltenham has become a "really violent and unpleasant place", according to a judge. Recorder Nigel Seed QC had hoped for an enchanting evening in a town noted for its restaurants, cafes and festivals.
But the judge (pictured), from London, was disgusted at the yob culture he encountered.
He spoke out as he sentenced a man at Gloucester Crown Court for a glassing incident in one of the town's pubs.
"I was in Cheltenham last night and I was struck by what a really violent and unpleasant place it has become," he said.

There is little difference between Gloucester and Cheltenham, its just better hidden in Cheltenham behind its grandiose facade and paper thin image. In Gloucester we are more in your face, and call a hammer a hammer. To listen to some of the residents of the false town we are worlds apart, no way.

I work with quite a lot of people from Cheltenscum and they all say that it is going downhill fast! it is just a town full of burberry wearing yobs. It was about time someone came out and actually showed that the place aint whiter than white, and that their s@!t don't smell of roses like they all think!:tosser:
