When the COF gets up and running again there will be a new tolerance on here, I'll allow anyone to register and post, except these bloody spambots that have joined in already.

That means that the person who thinks it's clever to register as "shandy" even though it's not the real Shandy is a tool. And looking at the email address is probably Cheltenham fan C.V.

I'm sure we have said numerous times on the various formats; we would be prepared to donate to the cause Neil. You have provided a fabulous service to City supporters for a long time now, and I don't see why you should be out of pocket when there are people willing to donate. Set up a Paypal account, put a Donation icon on the forum, and I'm sure you will get some financial assistance.
The Military Veterans Association I am part of the Admin team of; have an icon on our forum; same style forum as this one; we say we need £30 a month to help with admin costs; each month the amount is shown how much has come in; so if the figure is reached, members may decide to leave their donation till the next month.

Great idea. Any excess, and Neil could utilise it to get new/better equipment like microphones etc. a lot of people spend a lot of time on the COF, and derive a lot of enjoyment out of it. You don't get owt for nowt.

No-one who donates their time and effort to provide a service for the club and it's supporters, should have to foot the bill out of their own pocket.
This forum, as DA said earlier, is vital for communication and general banter about the club, and it's great fun! How many coach trips are sorted on here, meeting places at away games, offers of hospitality from home supporters at away matches? Home supporters coaches and fund raising events too?

This is invaluable to both us and the club! Reg has the right idea, with the PayPal suggestion, all anonymous, donate what you can when you can.

The time you give to the club is a huge donation and the Tigers fans know it, you should let us at least cover the cost of this forum.

Please do it then Neil because I and I'm sure many others would like to repay in the only way we can the debt we obviously owe you .... AND don't ever think your hard work is unappreciated by us City boys either.

I'm sure most of the regular users on here would contribute if required.

As for the original post, I reckon it's going to be more trouble than it's worth, especially if this pre season 'friendly' that's been touted about goes ahead.

The only contributions I need from people are making sure the forum gets used. It's an expensive piece of software (£125) and I get tired of reading all of my own posts all the time. So post away!

I don't want money for nothing but if you need a bit of webspace, I could sell you some of that!
