I see that Boston Utd have been relegated to the Conference but applied for a CVA with five minutes of the game remaining so that they could take their ten point deduction this season instead of next :tosser:

That's ridiculous! Leeds are doing the same too...

That shouldnt be allowed to happen. Someone from the Football League was on Sky last saying they reserve the right to decide when it is applied. So why did they let that happen, they are all people and like the rest of us see the news and know what is happening. The club should say well seeing as you are already down you can have it next season (and they should base it on the result at the time if that matters, so boston losing 2-1, they are down so no points deduction)

I heard the radio in the week with people are saying, "Leeds are cheating the rules of the 10 point deduction rule", and somebody replyed......
Are Leeds cheating ?
No.
Should the rules be changed ?
Probably.

So it appears that for the 2nd time in the space of a few years that Boston are bending the rules. How ironic that the team replacing them in the league are the team that they cheated out of promotion from the Conferance when Boston won promotion. It's a funny old game.......

Financially theres little chance of them going up I think, they cant even afford the players coach for away games at the moment. Think Boston will be a non-league team for a good while.
Biggest game they've had in years and Boston had just 450 at Wrexham, poor show really. (still it was about the same amount the scum had at their massive game at Rotherham the other week:thumbsup: )

And the 260 Cheltenham took to Oldham, and they 90 they took to Chesterfield, what a joke!

It was different when we last went to Boston. Very decent crowd created an intimidating atmosphere, which might have explained our half-hearted performance. I think Mike Wyatt scored a consolation goal after Goughie and co. had left, believing that we had done well to score nil.

I bet Daggenham are loving it, ever since they felt they were cheated out of promotion by Boston a few years back.
Anyway, 10 point deduction in whatever season in my opinion is a very lenient punishment. Just losing 10 points for paying back around 40% of what you owe (although kind of wrecks your credit rating)!
