I too have heard this rumour. Seems as if Reidy has taken over from John Holloway as the most hated player in the Southern League.

At the moment in this league, I think Matt Coupe, Paul Evans, and Dave Elsey are all disliked in our region. Steve Perrin ranked with that lot too, but he's moved on now.

Players from the 'other side' of the division who've stuck in my mind have been the number 2 for Northwood (who stood on our flags and chucked them over the wall), the giant Corby defender who battered Wilko about off the ball all match at their place, and any number of Wealdstone players, particularly the one who put Mark in a headlock.

I think Reidy's a bit young to be given the thorny crown of 'most hated player in the league', but opposition fans and players do seem to have taken a bit of a disliking to him. Give him time!

Yes, he did get that a bit wrong. But he was otherwise a good guy, a great character. I believe he gave a pair of his keeper's gloves to Guy Lanniman once.
