Apparently their new album is a throwback to their debut, which was rocking. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, Lee, because I liked their earlier stuff but went off them when Roddy went all folkie and radio-friendly.
Like Joe, I'm also not going to see them in Bristol at the weekend, although I have seen them a few times there already and once at the legendary TJs in Newport where there almost a fight when Roddy warned the crowd to stop stage diving.

As you know I saw them on Sunday. Good but lacking something I think its the fact Roddy is a bit to laid back in stage and When I Argue was crap, if they are going to play it like they do they may as well not bother playing it at all as it sounds awful

Its a mix of old and new Tim. The first two tracks could have easily come from hope is important and 'If it takes you home' shows more than a nod to 'modern way of letting go'. I was a big fan of their last album and still play it a lot now, I thik it was very underated.

"Crack The Sky" - who are still going in spits & spurts from the 70's and still inventing... I've jst acquired much of their catalogue from eMusic.
"Mostly Autumn" convention this weekend - the band will apparently be playing some stuff they don't often play live ... they're also coming to Gloucester nest month.
