The players should personally come to the fans and make a gesture that they are sorry for putting in such a poor performance and then put it right on the field and absolutely slaughter Bedford Town.
Bedford last season were the worst team in both matches but if memory serves me right won all 6 points.
It also means good performances in the FA Trophy are vital for the football club's finances.

I don't know about them coming over and apologising to the fans but it is important that we bounce back with 3 points against Bedford.
There isn't much money to be made in the Trophy so I guess the best we could hope for there is to win a couple of rounds and then get drawn against a team that would bring a lot of support and more gate receipts for the club.

Sorry, but I dont agree, I would be so embaraced if the players came and apologised, to be fair yes I was disapointed with Saturdays outcome, its a game of football get over it move on, just get to the game on Saturday and get behind the lads 100%, as fans we deserve to give our 100% to the players, and they will respond I'm sure.
Dont forget alot of the palyers and staff read this forum, they will want to see thet they still have our support come win loose rain or shine.
Come on City!

We owe Bedford for those dropped six points last season, they didn't deserve one point.

Agree with Drakey, football can be cruel sometimes but it can also give us some great highs (FA Cup at Cardiff, FA Trophy run a few years ago, Redditch away, Cheltenham matches) although I do remember David Mogg buying me a drink after a game against Witton in the Trophy as he was ashamed of the performance of City that day (we lost 3-0 and were lucky to get nil!)
Best way of showing a reaction is for 3 points on Saturday

I think the players can apologise by putting in a 100 % on Saturday and Boris can do the same by getting the team selection right this time. I seeTom Hamblin didnt get on Saturday , the last two games isaw him play , Yate and Bashly he was close to M O M followed by Jack Harris . I think costly mistakes were made not only did we miss out on £3000 but a chance of another £3000 plus and another pay day with an extra game . Now while most of the teams in our league will be playing F A we will be at home doing F A

All City fans will continue to support the team. I wasn't saying that but I tell you other clubs players (of bigger teams) have apologised to their fans, I think it shows a nice touch that they know how disappointed the fans are at last weeks lack of performance. It doesn't have to be anything major even getting into a group and applauding the fans prior to the game, which is how one of the league teams did it.
I too would settle for three points against a bit of a bogey team for us, in Bedford Town, but I get the feeling from their forum that they are playing better than last season.
In the great scheme of things we are in a much better position in the table than last season, if we are in the mix at Christmas, we might be able to push on in the second half of the season and at least make the playoffs.

.
I suggest that if "anyone" posts anything nasty or over the top on here, they should have to go to next years "first round cup match" as a punishment.
No matter how far away or out off the way, off they will have to go!
No exceptions or excuses accepted!.

it going to be a toughy against bedford as they have conceded the least goals so far in the league (conceded 3) but we have scored the most with 16 goals

I'm sure Boris would have picked him but for the fact he was injured.
