Anyone remember a couple of seasons back when we lost 1-2 at Twerton Park against Team Bath (Syko scored a spectacular goal), we must've had a dozen offsides given against us that night.

Well George Friend, the guy who scored twice for Bath, he was also on loan from Exeter City (strange arrangement for a student team) has today signed for Wolves from the Grecians.

I remember that night. It started weirdly when Nigel and myself went into a pub near the ground to discover a group of girls playing pool and talking about how they never wore knickers!

I remember the football, too, especially how Team Bath got their winner. It was near the end of the game and the ball was hoofed out of play by one of our defenders.

While the defender's momentum carried him off the pitch having completed the clearance, a ball boy picked ANOTHER ball, handed it to the TB player who threw in back into play, while our player who, rightly, thought he had a moment to get his breath back while the ball was recovered from the stand, was hopelessly out of position. They went on to score from there. He's no Friend of mine. W@nker.
