I see he who "retired" has been named in the 30 man squad.

I hope his is the first name that gets omitted when the numbers are cut down.

We must be desperate to call on some1 like him who retired! Scholes on the other hand should have made the right decision but alas he never!

Carra is the most versatile defender in the premier league, and will do a job when called upon! I say take him!

Doesn't he have the record for the most own goals? That's reason enough to leave him at home!

Good to see him back, good player.
Scholes? Don't want him...

Taking Carragher is a mistake. It's a slap in the face to the players who played in the near perfect qualifying campaign.

Also, his legs are gone and he's shit. Lescott or Jagielka would have been much better options.

He will definitely go now though. He's the only player in the 30 who can play at right back aside from Glen Johnson.

If you're on the field for a penalty shoot out this time Jamie, steer well clear please. And if you really have to take one, wait for the ref's whistle first thid time you bottler....

thing is he is clearly only going as cover and is behind terry, rio and king in the pecking order. If two of those were crocked and it was the world cup semi final, who would you rather have at centre back, a man who has experience of playing in world cups and champions league finals against the best in the world or dawson/upson? Capello knows best.

I'd also like to add that Liverpool had the third best defence in the premier league this season...
