Not bad result at half time only being 2-0 down, especially with the gulf between the two clubs.

Must have been a decent effort to only lose 2-0. Id be interested to see how John Akinde got on against us tonight as I havnt heard to much from him season but he looked a very good player.

Gloucester should mark Unknown tighter. He scores a lot against them. ......:D

akinde was a bit quiet after Matt rose attempted to break his legs...was a good effort to only lose to a penalty and a deflection which greener could do nothing about, that said they were coasting in second gear after the goals. was nice to play some quality league opposition for once though..

Just got back - proud of the boys. Much closer than last season, especially as their second was a flukey deflection and we missed a pen.

Smudge gave Robbie his runners-up medal - what a top bloke.

A good result for us. As per the last few games I've seen, we don't seem to have anyone who wants to shoot from 15-25 yards. Greener was magnificent, Ricco solid, alas, our wide players tended to drift inwards leaving Brisl players wide and unmarked time after time.

Lee Smith threw his boots to the City faithful after the match! What a nice guy.

We were never going to win so I went there looking for an improvement on last years 1-5, so 0-2 is a very good result, especially as has been said their goals were a penalty and a fluke.

All the best to Greener too, he even gave me a decent photo op in his last game!

shame that Greener had to play the whole game without his head

smudger gave me his boots. absolute legend. hope he stays next season.
we played really well 2nite, played some good football at times. hopefully we can take our passing game to cheltenham next year on a nice pitch and finish upper midtable

oddly, Smudger carried on giving stuff away... shirt, shorts, socks, lucky tiger pants, ... a naked figure was ejected from the ground...

Great result despite the loss. Just shows how far our team has come in 12 months. We are definitely playing a better standard of football now which is good to see.

one thing that became evident on a nice surface was how we are now screaming out for a quality attacking midfielder, there were lots of times where we got the ball looked for a short pass but just didn't have any options and equally lots of times when there were many options available which weren't spoted by the man in possession. Maybe it's asking too much of our current players, I'm not sure, but we need to switch the play more and get our wingers running onto the ball in space.

o.k it was a fairly friendly cup final (bar the one incident) but how come the Bristol City player who gave away the penalty (being last man) was not sent off ?

If it was a foul, straight red surely ?

Brave man Rosey then because Akinde is a massive bloke.

He might be big but he did get tackled by Pitch about 10 mins in and lost the ball...

niget was right - last man should have got sent off...

...and a fan invading the pitch to beat up players? how friendly was that?

Last year Akinde looked like Goliath, this year he looked like David. I wasn't impressed by him at all, well, other than his girlish scream when he went down to win their penalty.

Blimey he must have had a bad season then especially if bloody Pitch can tackle him! He has a lot of talent so it would be good to see him turn into a decent player but prehaps he might be one of the many not to make it.
