That's not sexist - she was rubbish, i think she had been to the Mark Lawrenson school of stating the bloody obvious while trying to sound slightly interested

She was bloody rubbish. Who let one the BBC's kitchen staff near the microphone?
Women- no place in football ;).

To be fair for a new person She was ok in bits but for the goals she really annoyed me went really high pitched, plus for the near miss. She can control how high pitched she is and still sound excited

She's always on 5 Live when they are doing the Sport's report and her commentary just makes it sound really un-natural!

we probably sound sexist but it was ****. sounded like the time when they let a kid who won a competition do some commentary on football focus. totally out of her depth.

I'm guessing I'm the only person on the COF who actually thought she did a good job then!?!
I really can't understand the criticism she is receiving. She did as good a job as mostly all of the commentators on Match of the Day last night. Just because its a Female voice doesn't mean anything to me personally and it shouldn't to anyone.
Alot of people have been saying that when the Goals were scored 'She Screamed', she didn't in my ears and conveyed the emotion of the moment better than most commentators would. I think she did a good job and on the whole she was very professional in her approach....

I don't know how you interpretated that, but I think you read that in the wrong way....
I genuinely think she did a good job and can't understand all the flack she has been receiving.

I was half watching at the time, and then I heard this high pitch voice and I jumped out of my skin. It was like starting your car and instead of hearing "brrrummmm brrruummmm" their was Prince singing me a nursery rhyme.
Us human beings are nearly always resistant to change, so I'm sure I will get use in time.
