Some of the spin-offs of playing at Whaddon Road as I see it will be :-
a) The short distance to travel / No10 bus takes you throught to Cheltenham + short walk
b) A much better playing surface.
c) If by some 'miracle' we were do well in the FA Cup, there is a bigger ground capacity if we were to pull a league side in the draw.
d) In the unlikely event that we find a player on the fringe of their team that is good enough to play for us (it will work out very well for both clubs for that player to go on loan to us). The history of players on-loan from Cheltenham is not going to set the world on light.
e) The playing surface / Boris' Man-Management skills / Team Spirit, might just entice some transfer targets to join us.

f) No freezing gale blowing through my bones every match.
But none of it makes up for no longer being able to watch the match with a pint in my hand.

The biggest opportunity is to increase the attendance.
500+ is achievable.

Actually, Did Simon Cooper ome from Cheltenham ?? He was pretty good for us. I was just racking my brains to think of anyone decent that come from them to us.
I'm sure the more clued on supporters will think of someone else.
Jason Eaton went the other way didn't he - sorry Neil for swearing on the forum lol
Cooper wasn't that good. He's a managers player, not a fans player.

Remembered another - the one and only Keith Knight. Now at Cirencester and still registered as a player at nearly 41.
Cirencester's team looks is made up of a lot of Gloucester City old favourates

Ron Coltman came along the Cheltenham Road. The City paid for him with revenue from a friendly between the two clubs.

Didn't he play when we were at longlevens......not that I remember then.......cause I only just made the 60's and only remember from Horton Road (mid 70's).
I guess one of my favourate players was Karl Bayliss, probably the best best passer of the ball I have seen was Adebowale, but there are so many others that were just brilliant for us Gary Kemp, Dougie Foxwell, Dale Watkins to name just a few.
I really think it would be impossible for me to decide on my all time favourate player.

Legendary men, i wonder where they are now. I bet ML is still playing, claiming to be 38!

I suppose no-one is going to sing "one man went to burn down whaddon" now then??
Well if we do I wonder how quickly the stewards will move towards the fire extinguishers!
