Doesn't sound good at all, I'm never any good at reading between the lines with these kind of things and assume that we are to fear the worst. I have a lot of time for Colin and wish him all the best and hope for his and his family's sake that he can fight it.

I've always found Colin to be a man who takes a challenge head on, its probably why he has been so successful. I've no doubt he'll carry this attitude in his latest and biggest fight. Good luck to you and your family, my thoughts are with you, don't let it beat you.

I've sent Colin a card, and told him that I am sure all Gloucester City supporters feel the same way as I do : I am extremely fond of the fella.
I've asked if I can conveniently ring.

This was sad news but Colin is a fighter and I am sure that all at Gloucester City, Forest Green Rovers and all the countless teams he has supported in some way and all the charities that have benefited from his big heart.
Let's hope he fights this all the way and will recover swiftly from this serious condition.
Very understandable why he's given up the chair at FGR, he has to concentrate on his treatment and family life.

Extremely sad news, as others have said, he was there when you needed him most last year.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

I spoke with Colin last evening, and found him just as I have always found him : full of good humour, telling a good story, explaining how he had sorted something out for somebody. I understand there is to be press coverage shortly, and so I'll hold back on some of the detail - but I'll tell you in due course if the paper story doesn't.
Colin's health is, as reported, not good. If I tell you that he made me laugh out loud as he told me about it, you could think me an unfeeling so and so, but if you know Colin you won't. Just as he has dealt with everything at GCAFC in the past and more recently at FGR, so he is dealing with his own present situation with great fortitude. He is not sitting around feeling sorry for himself, as some of us would. He's not wasting a minute, but when did he ever ? He will continue leading as full a life as he can whilst he is able to, which I suppose is something we might all aspire to do.
He has read all the messages in this thread, and wants you to know how welcome they are and how much appreciated - so add to them if you will. One thing that came through talking with him, and it really is an inspiration, is that he does not want by being unwell to make anyone else miserable. (He had a really funny way of putting this, which I will probably share with you at some time)
