Just off Tony Kempster, apparently after the Southern League AGM today this was the confirmed line up for next season.

Banbury United
Bashley
Brackley Town
Chippenham Town
Clevedon Town
Corby Town
Dorchester Town
Evesham United
Farnborough
Gloucester City
Halesowen Town
Hemel Hempstead
Hitchin Town
Mangotsfield United
Merthyr Tydfil
Oxford City
Rugby Town
Stourbridge
Swindon Supermarine
Tiverton Town
Weston Super Mare
Yate Town

Doesn't look too bad!

Cambridge haven't been demoted so Weston are relegated.

If we are there or there abouts at Christmas then I reckon we'll run away with it come 2009!

I think next season is going to be another tough one for the club and if we can get close to the play offs that would be another fantastic achievement.

I am confident we will have a decent season and could do something special but first thing for me is making sure we stay up and find our own ground as soon as possible.

If it is the real deal then I'm pleased that it hasn't become the farce that last year was with the reprieves and such like.

They aren't going full time anymore.

I know it's my usual anti-cockney bias but look at the travelling in Ciren's division compared to the Isthmian 1 North map (http://www.tonykempster.co.uk/step4-08-20.gif)

Aaah what memories. 6 of us hired a minibus, took the day off work and spent the whole day in Weston. Only for the floodlights to fail at half time.

2004 was it?

Looks like Weston won't be joining us after all and we now have a massive trip to Cambridge to look forward to. Taken from the Cambridge site:

The FA appeal board today rejected City’s case that it should not be relegated by the Football Conference.

The Club received a fair hearing from the FA, but is naturally disappointed with the outcome. The FA’s decision is binding – so City will take part in Southern League Premier Division in season 2008-09.
