Guess what guys, I have tickets for the Wembley game. Steve is a Pompey supporter, so it goes without saying we would be going. Just great that I will see Jack on the pitch, hopefully his injury will not prevent this.

I shall be behind the goal, so watch out for probably the only Gloucester City AFC scarf being hoisted in the air !

Unfortunately it doesn't though - my mate has followed Pompey for almost 30 years, at an average of more than 20 games per season, and still hasn't been able to get a ticket. Any idea where they might still be available?

Thats the problem with the Cup Final, most people think 80,000 divided by two and theres loads to go round but it's the FA's day, not the clubs and the huge majority of the tickets are distrubuted by them.

Sorry that your mate didn't get one, he must be gutted.

Sandra - see if you can get Wembley to start singing "Follow, follow follow, we are the boys in black and yellow"

Pompey's allocation was 29K........Cardiff must have been the same, so the rest is corporate and hangers-on !

Hope they've got tickets then, as we have all seen what a disgruntled Cardiff fan can do !

Think Steve got his as corporate ....
It's a damn shame that the honest supporter doesn't get a look in but then when have the FA ever managed things fairly !

Steve's first footy game was at the age of 4 on his Dad's shoulders at Fratton Park, so he's been following them for some 32 yrs. God that's given his age away!

You can all breathe easy, my mate got a ticket in the end although I think he had to perform sexual favours to get it. Sandra, if your Steve doesn't turn up Saturday you'll know who he did the favours for

Its amazing that the FA Cup finalists only get 29000 tickets each. Ebbsfleet had about 25000 there on Saturday for the Trophy and if they can sell that many im sure Portsmouth and Cardiff could have sold lots more than there allocation.

Sorry Shandy, Steve's already in London working and I will be joining him tomorrow. Hope he didn't have to go down the same road as your mate to get the tickets in the first place !

I have Drakey's drum, feel free to take it - but chances are the Happy Police will confiscate it again! (You know and I know that drums were allowed at the League Cup Final and the FA Trophy final, but apparently there was a change of heart last weekend when they were declared unsafe... I think Bon Jovi may strggle next time around...)

For those of you who are going, give a wave to Michael Oakes, our former goalkeeper, who now plies his trade with the Bluebirds.

I've just been speaking with Norman Pass who remembers one occasion when Michael arrived at the Meadow Park gate, which Norman was manning. Michael was entirely breathless, having run from where his car had broken down - half-way between Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Norman remembers him as a nice young man, who thoroughly enjoyed playing for us and holds us in affection. A true Tiger, as Dave Hatton might say.

In fact, like Dave Hatton, the Oakes family hail from Cheshire. Michael's dad had a career still more illustrious than his son - playing with great distinction at left-half for Manchester City. We used to see him when he came to Meadow Park to watch his son, and he seemed a very modest man. (A bit like Sven perhaps ?)

Michael Oakes famously has a huge dick. Not sure how Dave H measures up though!

Think its largely a case of the FA trying to attract more corperate setas in order to get the huge sums spent on the new Wembley. Don't get me wrong it looks a fantasic venue but how did it end up costing so much compared to the Millenium Stadium

P.S Good luck to Jack Pitcher and Sandra, make sure to have a good day and let us know what its like for when City get there next year

You're wrong the Adam, those tickets are sent out to all of their members. Most clubs get a couple of tickets each.

Judging by the number of coaches on their way back to Cardiff yesterday, you are wrong there Neil. That ticket allocation went to Cardiff faithfull.

What a fabulous day it was.....Steve and I pleased obviously, but Cardiff City gave everything they had and more ! This made for a real FA final and not the sham's of the past few years.

Play up pompey, pompey play up !
