Last year we signed Jack Pitcher from another club in our league and I've no doubt that we'll be looking to do something similar this time around, so, out of all of the players that you've seen, who, realistically would you like to see in a City shirt next season from one of our local based teams in the SLP?

I quite fancy David Anyinsah from Yate

A central defender - Scott Brice from Yate, Kes Metteri from Chipps or Neil Griffiths from Cindeford.

A new midfielder - someone in the mould of Paul Chenoworth

Striker - Looking at the top goalscorers from SL, Aaron Blakemore from Yate or Kevin Slack From Bishops Cleeve. He has consistenly proved himself in the league below for 2 years now!

Although I do like Whitts, I'm just not quite sure....

I rate Anyinsah too Neil. Not sure he'd fit into our 5-3-2 formation as wing back though, as I doubt he can defend. He's probably the best left winger in the league.

A big striker to partner Pitch would be great. Someone in the Hosk mould, with a great finish. I rate our strike partnership highly at the moment, but finishing is not their strong point.

Morford signed for another year, that should be on the wishlist... Another two goals today too!

A central defender -Kes Metteri from Chipps.

I've just dug this thread out because apparently Kes Metteri has been released by Chippenham.

I thought he was a really good player and could play at centre-half and also left back.

Anyone know if he's still a free agent?

I doubt we'll be signing anyone too expensive especially if we don't get rid of anyone first.

We didn't have a manager at Ciren this time last year, so were a little late in getting people in. If we have a good pre-season we might challange.
Striker for Bash was good was it Griffith?
If you want another college lad shaks was good in spells for us.
Bored now can't wait for season to start, all the best for the season boys.

I'm confused? Are you on about Ballinger?

Blakemore, Whittington, Chenoweth, Brice, Anyinsah................between you you've named almost half the Yate side! After his heroics against you at the New Lawn ( penalty save, taking on the T-Enders single handed etc ) I'm surprised you didn't name Courty as well:biggrin:

Truth is there is a great squad of players at Yate and I know they were very frustrated at their indifferent season in 2007-2008 and I honestly believe if we can keep our squad together and add one or two we'll be up there challenging for honours next season.

We've already signed Alex Stanley from Ciren apparantly, so a step in the right direction for us there.

P.s can't believe no-one named Edd Vahid, our players' player and Supporters' player of the season at Lodge Rd!

Pure filth he is. Getting sent off and then blaming it on someone else after he's received his marching orders

Never mind those others,

Will Jacque be fit for next season?

I have not seen anything on here!

I hope all is well with him!

Time is a great healer so we can only be glad that such a bad injury happened on the last day of the season if it had to happen at all.

Problem is,with an ankle it takes for ever to get healed, then the first knock you are back where you started!

On this occasion i'm allowed to be pessimistic!
