Mike has posted about the end of season club do on another thread, but I was thinking it would be a good idea to pull together on here a number of events that are planned.

Firstly a mention for Over The Hill, a live band playing a week Friday (27th) not sure where - can anyone enlighten? Went to the last gig earlier this year, definitely a good night out and not to be missed. Tickets well priced, can get directly from Phil Gough, or on this forum as I don't think we're home before this gig. I'd be happy to pass orders on, although Phil says that you can pay on the door on the night. Some more details would be useful but I recommend it - a cracking night and money to the club at the same time.

Next up I understand that following the last home game of the season the bar is being opened up for a bit of a boozy session for fans and anyone else interested as we drink the bar dry for the close season. Am I right? If so a good excuse for people to hang around and celebrate the end of a better season.

Taff was also talking about fans meeting up after the end of the season for a curry, some beers, and general japes. Not sure when he has in mind but June would be a good time as everything is quiet that month and my god how I'd miss you lot. Taff to elaborate.

The venue for Over the Hill is Brockworth Rugby Club once again. Your place in the spotlight is reserved once again, Shandy.

Hope that everyone can make all these events.

Don't underestimate the importance of the Players' Presentation Night. It's so that the supporters can present awards to the players. It is therefore rather important that the supporters turn out in excellent numbers at the Walls Club in Barnwood.

Can I also put a plug in for the GCAFCYD Race Night which will be held at 7.30 on 28th April, after the Clevedon game, at The Spa, home of Glos City Cricket club. Entry is only £1. The beer is good, the larger cold.

All profits will go towards buying kit for the junior sides next season.

It's at The Spa as part of a deal we have with them which enables us to use their pitch for U12 to U16 matches.

Thought i'd getthis back up again! so who is going to this? Me and Ali are going as it should be a good night and will as always be a good chance to speak with the players! I'm sure that a good night will be had by all, so lets make sure that we all buy ourselves a ticket and make the last bash of the season one to remember!

I'm not up to date with this, having been away for a few days, but I do hope that you are contacting Gwenda or Sandra to get your tickets for the Presentation Night.

It should be a success. Rightly, the venue has been changed from previous years and there is an attempt, still living within our means of course, to make it more of an occasion.

There has been an even greater sense of togetherness at the club this season. Please support this event to consolidate what has been achieved. There will be an almost complete attendance from the players and the management. We shall have a meal and some entertainment.

To ensure the success of the Night we need to rent-a-crowd. Please come along to Walls Club in Barnwood on Friday week - but you need to book a ticket in advance, for catering purposes.

It's in Hammond Way off Barnwood Rd. Come down towards Eastern Ave from the C&G roundabout and then take the first left and then left again about 200yds up the road.
